What is your name? And what is the name of your business?
John Fay – CEO of Låda Cube
How long have you been in operation? And what services/products do you provide?
10 years. Låda Cube, a building tech company, manufactures pre-engineered and pre-manufactured lego-like modular and permanent wall systems, providing newfound sustainability, flexibility, and function. Architectural in design and extremely adaptable with plug-in-play electrical, Låda Cube walls provide limitless options to meet ever changing needs.
What has been the driving force behind your business? And in what ways are you hoping to grow in the future?
Our desire is to free the world to build sustainable reusable structures using the “2×4 of the Future.” We envision our products increasing in international exposure and use.
As an entrepreneur what is one challenge you’ve faced in the past? And how did you overcome it?
Believing in the impossibility of transforming an entire industry and trusting in a vision much bigger than myself. We’re still overcoming this challenge every day through walking out of fear and becoming free to believe in something much bigger than ourselves.
How was your overall experience working with Energize Colorado? What solution did Energize Colorado provide? And how did/will the solution benefit you and your business?
Our experience with Energize Colorado could not have been any smoother or helpful. It’s been very challenging working through traditional lenders. Even with purchase orders in hand, we have not had any success securing much-needed capital for growth. Energize Colorado’s process was so encouraging in what has historically been a discouraging journey. We secured the capital needed to develop a whole new line of housing products.
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone with aspirations to start a business of their own?
Surround yourself with people who speak life over you and believe in the vision that you’ve been entrusted with. Partner with God in your journey and He will provide you with solutions and make a way when it may seem impossible. Build your business by bootstrapping to start.
