How it works
When you complete the form to find a mentor, you’ll be asked a few questions about your business and what you’re looking for. We’ll send you a list of 20 volunteers who match your specific needs and challenges, and you’ll choose 3-5 you’d like to speak with. If they’re available, you’ll have the chance to learn more about them and we’ll connect you via email. You’ll be able to have some 15-30 minute phone calls to help you decide if it’s a fit, and can let us know if you’d like to move forward with mentorship. If the Mentor would like to move forward too, it’s a match!
You can decide to end your involvement at any time. All we ask is that you follow our Code of Conduct so we can create a vibrant and thriving community.
Tips for a successful mentee-mentor experience:
- Be open to learning and growth, and set professional goals to help focus the process
- Your mentor is there for guidance and expertise, but ultimately your decisions are yours to make
- Be sensitive to each other’s time—work together to set meeting times and methods that work for both of you, and be punctual and prepared
- It’s alright to end your relationship in a positive way when you’re ready to move on
